Important — QALogger Lives on Each Device Separately

Think of QALogger as a digital clipboard, not a shared cloud account.Everything you enter is saved only on the specific device and browser you used to enter it. Records do not sync, transmit, or carry over from one device to another, and they are not shared automatically across everyone in your company. Each device keeps its own separate set of records.

What this means in practice:

Set up each device individually. Every phone, tablet, laptop, or PC that will use QALogger needs to visit qalogger.com/library.html and enter your access code SUBSCRIBED once on that device. Your $499 purchase licenses your whole company — unlimited devices — but each device is activated on its own.
Records stay on the device that created them. A Non-Conformance Report you log on the shop-floor tablet will not appear on the office PC, and vice versa. There is no central server tying them together — that’s by design, so your data stays private and fully on your own hardware.
To move records between devices, use Backup and Restore. Use the Backup button to download a copy from one device, then transfer that file and load it on another. This is the only way records travel between devices.
Clearing a browser’s cache erases that device’s records. Always keep a current Backup file so nothing is lost.

Rule of thumbOne device = one clipboard. Decide which device is the “record of truth” for each app (for example, the tablet used during audits), and back it up regularly.

How to Install QALogger on Each Device

QALogger runs in your web browser — there’s nothing to download from an app store. You simply open the library page and, if you like, “install” it to your home screen or desktop so it opens like a normal app. Do this once per device.

iPhone / iPad (Apple mobile)	Open Safari and go to qalogger.com/library.html. Enter SUBSCRIBED once. To add it to your home screen: tap the Share button (the square with an up-arrow) → scroll down → tap Add to Home Screen → Add. A QALogger icon appears on your home screen and opens full-screen like an app.
Android phone / Android tablet	Open Chrome and go to qalogger.com/library.html. Enter SUBSCRIBED once. Tap the ⋮ menu (three dots, top-right) → Add to Home screen (or “Install app”) → Add / Install. The icon lands on your home screen.
Mac (MacBook, iMac)	Open Safari (or Chrome) and go to qalogger.com/library.html. Enter SUBSCRIBED once, then bookmark the page (Cmd‑D). In Safari you can also choose File → Add to Dock to make it open like an app. In Chrome: the ⋮ menu → Cast, Save & Share → Install page as app.
Windows PC / laptop	Open Chrome or Microsoft Edge and go to qalogger.com/library.html. Enter SUBSCRIBED once. Click the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor/download symbol), or open the ⋮ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app. It then opens in its own window like desktop software.
Any other device (Chromebook, Linux, etc.)	Any device with a modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox) works. Go to qalogger.com/library.html, enter SUBSCRIBED once, and bookmark it. Look for an “Install” or “Add to Home screen” option in your browser’s menu if you want an app-style icon.

You don’t have to install itInstalling to your home screen or dock is optional — it just makes QALogger quicker to reach. At minimum, bookmark qalogger.com/library.html on each device so it’s always one tap away. Remember: whatever you enter stays on that device.
